6 Ways to Support Breast Cancer Awareness Month at the Beach
Local organizations like the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition are ramping up efforts on the coast this month.
Did you know that one in eight women in the United States will develop breast cancer in her lifetime? In 2019, an estimated 268,600 new cases of invasive breast cancer will be diagnosed in women in the U.S and this year, an estimated 41,760 women will die from breast cancer in the U.S., according to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
Many of us know at least one person who has been affected by breast cancer. And while the disease is something so many people fight each and every day, there are wonderful ways to make a huge impact during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. If you cannot attend or participate in a local fundraiser, consider making a donation to an organization near you.
