Selbyville is roughly the intersection of U.S 113 and Del. 54, an agricultural town that typifies small town Southern Delaware. The area is surrounded by grain and chicken farmers, which drive the economy of Southern Delaware. But as the beach development creeps, Selbyville is changing, with more new subdivisions sprouting each year. They offer something close to beach living, but without beach prices. Despite the growth, Selbyville remains laid back west Many residents are farmers, raising or growing chicken, hogs, corn and soybeans. Its close to a Jack Nicklaus signature golf course at Bayside, as well as its Freeman Stage, a popular outdoor venue that offers live theater and music.
