Townsend
Townsend is a rural town that’s beginning to embrace new development. But even as new neighborhoods and businesses emerge, living in Townsend will always feel like living in the country. Residents enjoy its walking trails, town fairs and numerous 5k running events. The New Year’s Eve party is always held at Town Hall, and folks respect the Fireman Memorial guarding the Fire Hall. Townsend students attend schools in the prestigious Appoquinimink School District.
