Harrington is a rural town, a former agricultural and railroad hub, but it’s close to the state capital of Dover and a short drive from Delaware beaches. Its grain elevators are a state landmark. Harrington is home to the Delaware State Fair, which gets bigger every year with amusement rides, demolition derby, livestock contests, food and top-notch performers. Harrington Raceway & Casino is a highlight. It boasts both horse racing and a slots machine parlor. On U.S. 13 (The DuPont Highway), it links small towns such as Woodside, Viola and Felton to the north with Farmington, Greenwood and other small farming towns to the south.
