Cycling fans will want to be in Wilmington for the Wilmington Grand Prix May 18-20. Part street festival, part elite pro-am bicycle racing, the weekend includes the Monkey Hill Time Trial in Wilmington’s Brandywine Park on Friday and, on Sunday, the 15-mile Governor’s Ride and 62-mile Gran Fondo race-tour through Chateau Country. The big action occurs Saturday downtown, where you’ll be treated to eight pro cycling races, live music, sidewalk sales, and family activities like moon bounces, rock climbing, and bungee jumping.
