The gentleman standing on the dock on the Indian River Bay—north of Bethany Beach—is W. Emerson Wilson, a former editor of the Wilmington Morning News. Wilson spearheaded the restoration of Fort Delaware, and was a founding member of the Fort Delaware Society.
