Crossan took an unusual path to motherhood.
Fresh out of college, she married David, whose first
wife had passed away, leaving him with two young children.
Amber adopted David’s two sons and the couple soon
had another child. “I had to grow up very quickly,” Crossan
says. A former political operative, Crossan is now involved
with women’s ministries at Glasgow Church. Not bad
for a former first runner-up in the Miss Delaware Pageant.
