The landmark business on U.S. 13 began in 1975 from a baggage cart on the family farm. A basket of tomatoes was 25 cents. The business did so well that Donald Willey, an American Airlines employee, quit his job to expand the stand. Today, Willey Farms occupies six acres.
Don’t miss: Willey also offers candy, jams, jellies, baked goods, sandwiches, soup, home accents, plants and a natural foods section.
