Blue Heron Pines is a Stephen Kay design that was the first to tackle environmental protections on New Jersey’s 1.1 million acres of Pine Barrens. At Blue Heron Pines, near Cologne, many of Kay’s unique touches—optical bunkering on short par 4s and a series of holes designed to help you post red numbers—are present here.
