Medication Error
An inadequately trained nurse gave the wrong medication to a patient. An out-of-state medical malpractice attorney tried the case before a jury and lost. Stephen Potter appealed the case to the Delaware Supreme Court, which reversed the verdict due to the admission of prejudicial evidence. Cancer Case
A physician failed to timely diagnose skin cancer. Our firm settled the case for $2 million.

Hospital staff failed to properly diagnose and treat drug withdrawal induced seizures. Potter, Carmine settled the case for $1.5 million.

Stomach Perforation
A nurse practitioner at a hospital punctured an infant's stomach while measuring for a replacement feeding tube. The puncture when untreated and the baby died from sepsis. Potter, Carmine settled the case for $735,000.

School Bus & Car Accident
Client suffered a severely fractured ankle with post-traumatic arthritis. Trial was held in the Federal District Court of Delaware. The offer to settle was $350,000, and the jury awarded $1.15 million.

Chair Collapse
Client suffered a torn rotator cuff and post-surgical infection after his chair at a casino collapsed. Potter, Carmine settled the case for $200,000.

Pick-up Truck & Garbage Truck Accident
Client suffered a shattered femur resulting in loss of bowel and bladder functions. Another law firm had the case and offered to settle it for $50,000. Potter, Carmine got the case, and settled it for $1.6 million.

Fire Escape Collapse
A fire escape collapsed causing a head injury. Prior to trial, the defense offered $50,000 to settle. Potter, Carmine tried the case, and the jury awarded $2.25 million.

Automobile Accident
A car accident occurred after the other driver failed to stop at a stop sign. The client suffered a serious hip injury. Potter, Carmine settled the case for $2 million.

Stephen B. Potter
Mr. Potter was born in Brooklyn, NY He attended Catholic University Law School He was an Associate editor of the Law Review He is a member of the Delaware and American Bar Associations, The Association of Trial Lawyers of America (Sustaining Member), & the Delaware Trial Lawyers Association. His practice includes representing those individuals who have been injured in auto accidents, truck accidents, on and off the job, as well as injuries in a variety of other settings. He has limited his practice to the injured person or persons for over 20 years. He also handles medical negligence, hospital negligence, and wrongful deaths. Most of the cases he works on settle before having to go to trial. He is ready to go to trial, if necessary, to obtain an acceptable result.

Kenneth F. Carmine
Mr. Carmine was born in Wilmington, DE. He attended Dickinson School of Law. He is a member of Delaware Bar Association, American Bar Association, Delaware Trial Lawyers Association. His practice is focused on workers' compensation law. He has demonstrated the ability to regularly achieve verdicts and awards, in many cases at 3-4 times the dollar amount of the insurance company's "best offer". Mr. Carmine has handled hundreds of worker's compensation cases since 1974. He knows how to get you disability checks to replace your lost income, obtain payment of medical bills, transportation expenses, reimbursement for prescriptions and will pursue benefits for any permanent injury or scarring you may sustain as a result of your injury. He has been successful in cases in which the insurance carrier has violated the rules of the Industrial Accident Board and the laws of the State of Delaware. In one such case, Mr. Carmine doubled his client's recovery twice because of failure of an insurance carrier to pay money legally due.

Tiffany M. Shrenk
Tiffany M. Shrenk was born in Philadelphia, PA. She graduated summa cum laude from Duquesne University School of Law in 2009. While in law school, she was a member of the Duquesne Law Review. She joined Potter, Carmine & Associates as an attorney in 2010. Since joining Potter, Carmine & Associates, she has worked on personal injury, medical malpractice, consumer fraud, and breach of contract cases. She recently argued the case of Rogers v. Christina School District before the Delaware Supreme Court. Ms. Shrenk is licensed to practice law in Delaware and Pennsylvania. She also successfully litigated a breach of contract case in which a PIP carrier was found to be in violation of Delaware law for denying no-fault benefits to its insured.
