Located in Newark, Delaware, Dr. Irena Stolar and her team are experts in cardiology and internal medicine. Drawing on more than 30 years of experience, she believes in personalized, professional service.
Office hours are 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
This is an accredited facility in the area of Nuclear Cardiology by the Inter-societal Accreditation Commission. EKG's, stress tests, echocardiograms and prothrombin times are performed in the office. Dr. Stolar is a non-invasive cardiologist whose main focus is in preventive cardiology. To meet the needs of her patients, the office is equipped with a stress treadmill and Echo and EKG machines.
Dr. Stolar is heavily involved in the prevention of heart disease in women. She lectures at Christiana Hospital regularly on this subject, as well as on congenital heart disease in adults in general. She also strives to educate women on the effects of heart disease during pregnancy. Dr. Stolar is the first sub-specialist to achieve meaningful use within the state of Delaware.
Dr. Stolar attended medical school at Jefferson Medical College and completed her Cardiology training at George Washington University Hospital in Washington, DC.
A firm believer in charitable work, Dr. Stolar is very active in her local Ukrainian community. She is also fluent in four languages – French, Ukrainian, Polish and English.
