Managed by Bayhealth Medical Center, these facilities offer affordable quality fitness and wellness programs for people of all ages and experience levels. Personal trainers are certified by the American Council on Exercise and provide supervision and design custom exercise routines for healthy adults, post-cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation patients, deconditioned and unconditioned adults, and teens looking for high-intensity sports conditioning. Facilities include circuit and free weights, treadmills, stationary bikes, rowers, StairClimbers and elliptical machines. Locker rooms are on site. The Kent General Hospital location offers group classes in an aerobic studio, as well as massage therapy. Group classes include aerobics, morning stretch, step aerobics, toning, butt and gut, cardio kickboxing and group games. Memberships are available on the community, individual and family level, and there are special rates for Healthworks employees, those ages 55 and up, full-time students over age 21 and college students.
