Tower Hill School: Where Students Reach Beyond their Potential

Tower Hill is a co-educational, preschool through grade 12 independent school that provides an enriched and challenging college preparatory program. The school was recently named by thebestschools.org as 47th in the U.S. in an independent survey of private day schools. Tower Hill's enrollment over the past several years has remained stable at approximately 750 students.

At Tower Hill academic excellence and successful college placement are givens—this is our reputation and our heritage. Our curriculum is well-grounded in the classics and, at the same time, promotes understanding of today’s world in all its global complexities. In place of AP courses, the school offers advanced and accelerated courses designed by faculty which better accomplish educational aims and prepare students for the kind of in-depth self-directed learning that is expected at the college level.

Tower Hill is a community that cultivates character, integrity, solid values and a passion for learning. Living our motto "Many Things Done Well," the school challenges students to bring their best to everything they do in an environment that balances academics, arts, athletics and service to the community.

Excellent teaching is paramount at Tower Hill. Our learning environment constantly challenges students to go beyond the usual and expected. Our state-of-the-art 45-acre campus includes a new Math and Science Center which opened September 2013 (see photo below), SMART Boards in classrooms, renovated athletic and physical education facilities, including two turf fields and the #1-ranked high school baseball field in the country. The school is ranked 3rd in the state for the number of state championships in athletics. Tower Hill encourages diversity in the religious, racial, economic and ethnic composition of our student body.
