Saint Mark's High SchoolCategories
Essential Information
For more than 35 years, Saint Mark’s has been educating young men and women to be leaders of the Church and the world whose faith in God and service to others models excellence, humility, and integrity. Students from Delaware, Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey as well as foreign countries, are drawn to the school’s 60-acre campus located in the Pike Creek Valley of Wilmington, Delaware. The Catholic, college-preparatory high school boasts a diverse academic program that features 5 levels to meet the needs of each student. The broad-based curriculum includes music, drama, and art, and emphasizes mastery of written communications. Saint Mark’s offers the area’s largest Advanced Placement program and 98 percent of its graduates pursue higher education. Students can explore their interests, gain confidence in their abilities and provide service to the community through participation in more than 50 extracurricular clubs and activities. The school offers a comprehensive competitive sports program with 8 fields on campus, a lighted stadium, 2 gymnasiums and a complete training facility. Saint Mark’s remains one of the most affordable private or Catholic high schools in the area, and is committed to helping parents afford an outstanding education for their children. Due in large part to the generosity of donors, more than $1 million is earmarked annually for need-based financial aid. Saint Mark’s also offers academic scholarships recognizing students who score in the 90th percentile on the school’s Entrance Test. The highest scoring students can compete for a full tuition scholarship to Saint Mark’s.
