Explore. Invent. Build. Discover.
The Academy’s Holy Cross heritage opens the minds and hearts of boys to a faith-based journey that encourages them to explore, invent, build and discover. This unique program creates a foundation that empowers boys with values and skills for life. We are helping young boys develop into the young men who will be the leaders of the future.
As a Catholic Academy rooted in the tradition of Holy Cross education, we are dedicated to empowering our students with values for life. Beginning at age 4 to age 14 we celebrate the uniqueness of each student, by meeting each student where he is and helping him to grow and learn. Students develop an understanding of five core values distilled from the educational writings of Blessed Basil Moreau - Integrity, Independence, Responsibility, Positive Self-Esteem, and Building Community. These faith-based values are ever-present in all aspects of our community. Students learn to respect themselves and those around them, embracing the likenesses and differences of all.
We believe that an effective educational experience is one in which each student is given the support he needs to learn. Social and emotional support through class meetings, counseling, mentoring, school liturgies and assemblies, and classroom work creates a safe and happy environment for the students. When students are able to feel free to explore, invent, build, and discover, they are happy and take ownership of the school environment they help to create for one another. Teachers provide students with meaningful tasks, work in small flexible groups, and create authentic learning environments. Ongoing assessment tools guide teachers to meet the intellectual, spiritual, and social-emotional needs of the whole child.
