When a patron went into labor during dinner, she named her baby Madeline. That’s what we call a family place. It’s the place to go for stuffed shells, veal spezzato, hearty pasta fagioli soup, five-layer lasagna, crusty rolls from South Philly and —surprise— an exceedingly creamy lobster bisque. If the special is eggplant Parmagiana, you’re in luck. Madeline’s is the only restaurant in Little Italy with a parking lot. Casual. Lunch and dinner.
