Walter’s is the quintessential Wilmington restaurant. It’s part of the Constantinou family tradition, and a place that gives local diners exactly what they want: good food in a nice setting at a fair price.
From 2010: In memoriam: The kobe hot rocks appetizer at Walter’s Steakhouse has made its way to that big menu in the sky, but we’ll always remember that special sizzle when a thin strip of kobe steak hits the 1,800-degree igneous rock. We’ll remember the wisps of smoke and the oohs from other customers. We’ll remember the plum wine and chimichurri dipping sauces. Maybe if we remember really hard, owner John Constantinou will bring it back …
From 2009: “Walter’s Steakhouse offers the ultimate in surf-and-turf fare,” says critic Ciro Poppiti. The raw bar, which brims with shrimp, clams casino, mussels, oysters and excellent caviar, is offered Sunday, Monday and Thursday.
