Best Romantic Atmosphere, 2014:
Victoria’s Restaurant succeeds with outstanding food and a lavish Victorian room with a view of the ocean. It hails back to the days of Rehoboth’s founding.
Best Brunch, 2014:
Crab cake sandwiches at brunch? We’re all in. You can also count on Victoria’s Restaurant to deliver more conventional breakfast-brunch food—and delicious bread pudding—with a view of the sun rising over the ocean.
The loaded buffet at Victoria’s is only half the story. The other is feeling the sun as it rises over the ocean—and you have a perfect seat for watching.
Sunday brunch at Victoria’s Restaurant is simply a Delaware institution. Cozy up to one of the hightops beneath the black trellises and indulge on oysters, smoked seafood or Belgian waffles with Vermont maple syrup and applewood bacon. Piano standards by local fave Jeff Irwin set the mood, as do ample mimosas, Bloody Marys and screwdrivers.
Skip the funnel cake and head straight to Victoria’s Restaurant on the boardwalk, where you’ll find sweets like crème brûlée, tiramisu, pies and cakes. “I love stopping at Victoria’s in the evening and getting a big piece of cheesecake,” says critic Mike Meoli. “It’s fabulous, New York-style with strawberries. It’s a very big portion, too—perfect for that last stop of the evening.”
