The ice cream at Sweet Lucy’s Ice Cream & Treats is from Woodside Farm Creamery in Hockessin. It’s fresh. The servers, on the other hand, are not. They’re nice, patient, helpful teens. Try the Flying Elvis (banana ice cream with peanut butter and chocolate), the Motor Oil (coffee ice cream with chocolate syrup and caramel) and the Fried Vanilla (cinnamon-sugar tostada pieces in cinnamon-caramel ice cream). Don’t get us started on the sundaes.

Sweet Lucy’s Ice Cream and Treats is as old school as the banana split. Heck, it’s one of the specialties. The old-fashioned ice cream parlor gets its goods from the Woodside Farm Creamery in Hockessin. The Flying Elvis—a must for food junkies—is blended especially for Sweet Lucy’s with banana ice cream and chunks of rich chocolate and creamy peanut butter. Do try the irresistible cake batter flavor, as well as the cookies and cream.
