What happens when a former coffee shop owner gets involved with a great local animal non-profit? In this case, Forgotten Cats Brew happens. Claudia Robbins, a volunteer with Forgotten Cats who owned the now-defunct Cuppy’s Coffee and More on Kirkwood Highway, worked with her distributors to create some great, exclusive gourmet blends that eventually became the Forgotten Cats coffee line, sales of which directly benefit the foundation. The Cool for Cats blend is a chocolatey blend of lightly roasted Brazil and dark-roasted Columbian beans. Then there’s the rich, earthy espresso Black Cat Blend and the decaffeinated Calm Cats Blend. Grab the coffee at Marini’s Produce in Wilmington, Broadway Cafe in Old New Castle, Over Coffee Café in Hockessin and elsewhere.
