From October through Mother’s Day, Deerfield Golf and Tennis Club lays out an amazing spread: 111 linear feet of buffet tables with the usual omelets, waffles, eggs Benedict and breakfast meats, as well as vegetarian entrees, carved meats, fresh fruits and pastries. But its raw bar is the big news. It’s packed with smoked fish, salmon, mussels and clams. Kids get their own buffet overflowing with cool stuff like mac and cheese bites, cereal and fries. Executive chef Paul O’Toole would be hunted down with putters if he didn’t make his bread pudding with warm vanilla bean sauce. Kids 10 and under eat free on Sundays. The sunny room and fabulous view of the golf course are unparalleled.
