Lynne Foote married Michael Govatos of Newark on May 31, 2009, at Harry’s Savoy Grill and Ballroom in Wilmington. During the toast, the maid of honor told the story of how gullible the bride-to-be was for believing Michael, who was raised Greek Orthodox, when he told her that the Orthodox church would require them to be nude during their wedding ceremony. He said, “That’s the way you come you into the world, so we believe that is how you should come into God’s presence.” Michael, of course, was kidding. Photograph by Alicia Cohen Photography.
