As senior vice president of external affairs, she is an adviser to the president and CEO, and also oversees the patient experience, patient relations, guest and volunteer services, employee communications, marketing, fundraising, advocacy, Web services, social media and media relations. Whew. “Making complex information more accessible to people is something I enjoy doing,” Schiavoni says. “Helping patients and families to make more informed decisions about their health care and partnering more effectively with our patients and their loved ones is a tremendous motivator for me.”
