Catherine Devaney McKay: Delaware Women in Business

Catherine Devaney McKay of Newark says a passion for people in need is what makes her a good leader. McKay, president and CEO of Connections Community Support Programs, oversees the delivery of services such as health care, housing, and employment to 20,000 individuals and families. Connections provides those services in 70 locations in the state, including the Delaware correctional system, and operates its own businesses to keep some clients working. Catering Connections, for example, prepares and delivers more than 5,000 meals each day to at-risk children and adults. McKay’s leadership earned her the inaugural Bank of America Neighborhood Builder Award in 2006.
