Wilmington Concert Opera is delighted to announce their performances of a “Seven Deadly Sins” Gala on February 8 at 7:30 pm at Trinity Episcopal Church in Swarthmore, Pennsylvania and February 10 at 2 pm at Grace United Methodist Church in Wilmington, Delaware.
Founded in 2016 by Kirsten C. Kunkle and Marisa Robinson, Wilmington Concert Opera provides high-quality concert performances of operas in their original languages to the Wilmington, Delaware community, while creating performance opportunities for emerging and established opera singers in the greater Wilmington area. Free will donations will be accepted at the performances.
The ”Seven Deadly Sins” Gala consists of arias and duets from operas that highlight the seven deadly sins: Pride, Greed, Lust, Envy, Gluttony, Sloth and Wrath. Wilmington Concert Opera chose several well-known arias from opera, as well as a few duets from Musical Theatre, to provide an entertaining performance of exceptional operatic moments. Featured works include selections from such favorites as “Carmen,” “Turandot,” “I pagliacci,” Faust,” and “Sweeney Todd.”
