Description

As part of the City of Wilmington's celebration of the Founding of Wilmington, Old Brandywine Village, Inc., is sponsoring a performance by The First State Symphonic Band. Music will fill the air of the Brandywine Village with the 54-piece Band playing in the H. Fletcher Brown Park, located on the banks of the Brandywine River behind the Hercules building.  As a traditional concert band, the FSSB  will perform a variety of patriotic songs, show tunes, and light classics.

As an added bonus, the FSSB is holding their annual Music Discovery Event immediately following the concert.  Interested students of all ages are invited to meet the musicians and handle real band instruments, with many fun activities planned.

Gather your family and friends and enjoy the sounds of the FSSB, with the beautiful Brandywine River as your backdrop.  It's sure to be a fun afternoon!
