“Spring Break” Group Show Louise Clearfield, Jim Gears, Virginia Jacobs Wine & Cheese Opening Reception Friday, March 1, 5–8 p.m. A group show with oil paintings celebrating the arrival of Spring. These artists are intrigued with light and its effects, painting with a common richness of color. Each artist applies the paint differently. Louise uses sticks of solid oil pigment, Jim works with a palette knife exclusively and Virginia prefers a brush, leaving visible strokes. All are successful in conveying an immediate response to their subject matter. |
