Plein Air Coastal Delaware is a painting and photography competition, show, and sale featuring the beauty of the Delaware Coast interpreted by the finest artists of our nation and beyond. For four days, artists will paint, draw, and photograph areas along the Delaware Coast including the towns of Lewes, Rehoboth, Milton, Bethany, Dewey, and Delaware seashore parks. Subject properties include boats, beachscapes, landscapes, churches, boardwalk scenes, estates and cottages, historic sites, and more! Delaware’s coast offers endless interesting and exciting subjects to be explored. Carefully chosen art collectors and art experts will judge the works that will be on display for viewing and sale during a patron preview party and opening gala on Friday, May 11, 2012, at Children’s Beach House in Lewes. The show will be open to the public from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. on Satruday, May, 12, 2012. The Rehoboth Art League will continue to display select pieces for show and sale at their gallery space in the Homestead, June 1 – June 29. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Plein Air Coastal Delaware Partners: Children’s Beach House, Food Bank of Delaware, and Rehoboth Art League. |
