Spend the morning as a family learning how to sketch live animals from professional art teacher Deanna Peacock! This workshop is appropriate for families who want to learn to paint with watercolor together. Beginning artists will get instruction on basic watercolor techniques, while more experienced artists can paint focusing on live animals as a source of inspiration! Enjoy the first 30 minutes of learning in the classroom, followed by the next 1.5 hours painting live education animals up close in our education classroom, or move out into the zoo at your leisure (before it opens to the public!) to paint some of our exhibit animals. Students are required to bring a watercolor sketchbook, water color paints & paint brushes, pencil, and eraser.
Optional additional materials- watercolor pencils, watercolor crayons
