Born in Tyler, Texas, he grew up hearing his parents' records of Hank Williams, Ray Price, Webb Pierce and many other legendary Country singers. He has portrayed Hank Williams in the Off-Broadway play Hank Williams; Lost Highway and has authored Hank Williams Remembered, his one-man show depicting the life of Country Music's first superstar.
