Children's Day: Super Saturday Event is an extension of Crossroad Community Church's Vacation Bible School program. This is a fun-filled event with activities and project for children ages 2 -- 12 years old. Nemours BrightStart! will conduct free reading readiness screenings for preschool aged children from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. The reading readiness screenings take about 10 minutes per child and measure critical language and print awareness skills. After the short 10-minute screening, parents will receive a free copy of Is Your Child Ready to Read? Developing Literacy Skills at Home and have the opportunity to talk with a Nemours BrightStart! early literacy expert.
