Folklore Friday: The Sodden Road to Prohibition

Date/Time

Oct 19, 2018
08:00 PM until 09:00 PM

Description

Gather around the bonfire with us, and be transported back in time through stories of local folklore and history by our gifted storytellers. Each community, each state, are threads in the fabric that make up the history and legacy of our great nation; each Friday a different storyteller will illuminate a thread of our past around the bonfire, bringing the past to life with stories of folklore and history.

For our 5th Friday, join local historian Scott Palmer as he pours tales of the events, places, and people that were part of the tumultuous love/hate relationship that lead to the Temperance Movement and eventually Prohibition.

Admission to this program is free. Historic-period libations matching the evening's theme (including some kid-friendly options) will be available for purchase.
