The Rainbow Chorale of Delaware comes to Downtown Wilmington on Saturday, April 5th.
WILMINGTON, DE — The Rainbow Chorale of Delaware, the First State’s pioneering LGBT choral ensemble, will present its annual spring concert, Family Gathering on Friday, April 5th at 8 p.m. The event will be held at First & Central Presbyterian Church, 1101 Market Street at Rodney Square in Downtown Wilmington.
The program showcases music that is a celebration of the family—the families we have and the families we choose. The event includes the diverse music of contemporary artists like Bobby McFerrin, Elton John, Billy Joel and Sister Sledge. The Chorale is also proud to perform A Stitch In Time by Delaware composer and fellow RCD member Thomas Meehan, and Randi Driscoll’s What Matters, memorializing Matthew Shepard. Proceeds from the purchase of the latter benefit the Matthew Shepard Foundation.
Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Tickets can be purchased at www.TheRainbowChorale.org, (888) 512-5093. This concert is made possible in part, by a grant from the Delaware Division of the Arts, a state agency dedicated to nurturing and supporting the arts in Delaware, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts.
