Description

Everlasting Hope Ministries (EHM), under the leadership of the Rev. Anthony "Tony" Neal, will celebrate its 26th year in ministry with some special events.  This year's tent services will be held at 7 p.m. form Tuesday, August 13 to Saturday, August 17, and at 11:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Sunday, August 18th, at the Richard Allen School, 316 South Railroad Avenue, Georgetown, Delaware.  Featured ministers will include Apostle Ivory Hopkins of Pilgrim's Ministry of Deliverance, Georgetown; Apostle Helena Bailey of Kingdom Life Ministries, Millsboro; Minister Zjohndell Hudson of New Life Fellowship Ministries, Milford; the Rev. Anthony "Tony: Neal of Everlasting Hope Ministries, Georgetown; and Apostle Ivory Jenkins of Greater Foundation of Praise, Philadelphia.  The annual anti-drug rally and march will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, August 17.  There will be food, games, music, entertainment, cartoon characters and much more.  Organizers expect 400-500 marchers.  This year's theme is Stop and Think:  Quit Looking Bach.  These services and events provide an avenue of support and hope for individuals whose lives have been adversely affected by drugs and alcohol.  Special outreach efforts are made to target individuals and offer them assistance.  These programs have positively  impacted hundreds of people in the community over the years.  EHM seeks community help to provide a variety of items for these needy and often forgotten individuals.  Funds are needed to purchase food for events, and healthcare products, toiletries and other items such as educational  literature and T-shirts containing positive, healthy messages.  These items will be given free to those who attend the services.  To make a financial contributions to help underwrite the costs of these activities, make checks payable to Everlasting Hope Ministries and mail to P.O. Box 168, Georgetown, Delaware 19947.  Donations will be used solely to purchase materials and supplies to promote the anti-drug message.  Contributions will have a lasting impact on the lives of individuals in the community and will be greatly appreciated.  EHM was established in 1993 as a support ministry for individuals who have fallen prey to drug and alcohol addictions.  It provides a variety of services to help meet individuals needs, including transportation, job searches, mentoring and housing, individual and peer counseling, and referrals to other agencies as necessary.  EHM also offers a weekly support class to people battling substance abuse addictions and operates Tony's House, a temporary shelter for people in transition from the penal system back into the community.  EHM is a tax-exempt entity.  Churches planning to have representatives attend the anti-drug rally must provide an exact count and T-shirts sizes for organizers to have enough available.  This information is needed by Friday, July 19.  The T-shirts are free and will only be provided on the day of the march to those who participate.  To respond with the numbers and sizes of T-shirts, contact Peggy Trott at 302-470-6592, Vanessa Neal at 302-854-6692, or the  Rev. Anthony "Tony" Neal at 302-381-3711.
