Delaware Hospice Festival of Trees

Nov 16, 2012 to Nov 18, 2012
10:00 AM until 04:00 PM

Since 1987, The Festival of Trees has been the signature annual fundraising event for Delaware Hospice to support its programs and services. Each year, three Festival of Trees events are held throughout the state of Delaware, one in each county. The New Castle County festival features a magnificent display of decorated trees and wreaths, including tabletop trees and wreaths, Festival supporters sponsor trees and wreaths, honor loved ones through the “Remembrance Tree,” purchase gift items at raffles and auctions, participate in the Festivals’ activities, or contribute simply through the purchase of admission tickets.

The main exhibit features a spectacular exhibit of decorated trees and wreaths made possible by our generous sponsors and creative decorators.

In addition to enjoying the exquisitely and imaginatively decorated trees and wreaths, we also offer:

  • Gift Shop:  An assortment of holiday gifts and decorations.
  • Bake Shop:  Baked goods donated by Delaware Hospice supporters.
  • Vendors:  A unique group of quality vendors.  Vendor space is quite limited, thus those vendors best fitting the preferences of Festival visitors have been selected.  Offerings include:  hand-crafted jewelry, purses, vests and Jackets, wooden items, stain glass creations, French linen and Polish pottery.
  • Raffles:  A large selection of gift items.
  • Table-Top Decorations:  Small decorated holiday trees, wreaths, and other gift selections for sale.
  • Senior Community Tree Decorating Competition:  Bring your bills and change to vote for your favorite tree.  Each dollar counts as 100 votes.

For some holiday cheer, join us at one or more of the special events taking place over the weekend:

  • Bubbles and Bidding: Celebrate the season among the beautifully decorated trees on Friday, November 16th, starting at 6:30 p.m.
  • Holly Jolly Holiday Wine Tasting: Enjoy a selection of wine and tasty treats at the Festival of Trees on Saturday, November 17th, at 5:00 p.m.  Visit the wine store to purchase your favorites.
  • Family Fun Day: On Sunday, November 18th, bring the kids in for a fun-filled day of crafts, games and entertainment.
