CoroAllegro commemorates the Feast-day of St. Cecilia, patron saint of music, and the 100th anniversary of Benjamin Britten's birth on that day in 1913. Headlining the concert is Britten's lyrical and witty "Hymn to St Cecilia" on a text by W.H. Auden, plus works by Vaughan Williams, Elgar and Tomkins. In addition, CoroAllegro will present the premiere of a new work written especially for them by Delaware musician and composer David Lockart, "The Peace of Wild Things". Please join us in celebrating these events!
