Coast Day returns to the University of Delaware’s Hugh R. Sharp Campus in Lewes for the 38th year on Sunday, Oct. 5 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. This annual tradition opens the campus to the public for a fun, family-friendly celebration of the sea.
Visitors can tour ships, try tasty seafood and listen to live music. Hands-on activities, a treasure hunt and critter touch tanks engage youngsters, while attendees of all ages can ask scientists questions about ocean issues.
Coast Day is sponsored by UD’s College of Earth, Ocean, and Environment and the Delaware Sea Grant College Program. Admission and parking are free. Rain or shine.
