The Chinese American Community Center (“CACC”) will host the annual three-day Chinese Festival from Friday, June 20 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Saturday, June 21 from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Sunday, June 22 from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at CACC, 1313 Little Baltimore Road, Hockessin, Delaware, 19707. Since the inaugural event in 1992, the Chinese Festival has become a truly unique and important landmark tradition celebrating the rich diversity of Chinese culture in the Greater Wilmington region. Through exhibits, gourmet food, and cultural performances, the event attracts thousands every year.
CACC has chosen “ Chinese Lacquer Ware “ to be the theme of this year’s exhibit. With a representative display of many gorgeous Chinese lacquerware pieces, along with the help of many well-informed docents and numerous beautifully- illustrated posters, the exhibit will be an informative introduction to some quintessential Chinese lacquer ware objects.
CACC also will feature a Chinese Traditional Kite Exhibition which will have more than 15 traditional, handmade kites brought from Weifang China, the kite capital of the world.
