Delaware Historical Society is pleased to offer reserved guided tours of
Wilmington's historic Market Street for groups of six or more.

Regularly scheduled tours are not available at the present time. We will try to schedule your tour at a time that is convenient for your group. Final confirmation depends on availability of our tour guides.
A typical tour begins with an orientation at the Delaware History Museum, 504 North Market Street, then covers the area between 3rd and Market Street and Rodney Square , approximately one mile round trip—1 ½ hours.
Optional extended walks cover the area between the Christina waterfront at Tubman-Garrett Park and the Brandywine River just beyond the Hercules Building, approximately two miles round trip-- 2 ¼ hours. There is no extra charge for extended walking tours.
If walking does not suit your needs, and your group has access to a 20-passenger bus, DHS can offer a step-on guide for a bus tour that includes the Friends Meeting on 4th Street, Christina waterfront at Tubman-Garrett Park, Frank Furness Railroad stations, Market Street, Brandywine Village, First Presbyterian Church in Brandywine Park and a brief look at the Wilmington and Brandywine Cemetery. Group may opt to disembark for a close-up look at selected locations. Bus tour begins and ends at Delaware History Museum and takes approximately 1 ½ to 2 hours. Separate pricing applies.
Step-on guided tours are not available for full-size tour buses at this time.
