This event occurs daily, every 1 day(s).
Most young artists dream of seeing their work displayed on a museum wall. This spring, the Delaware Art Museum is turning that dream into a reality by hosting 12 x 12, a group exhibition featuring works by young Delaware artists, on view March 15 – April 23, 2017.
To celebrate National Youth Art Month the Delaware Art Museum will showcase the work of young artists living in the State of Delaware. This group exhibition engages local schools, organizations, community centers, and education networks and invites young artists, ages 13–18, to bring one two-dimensional work of art—no larger than 12 inches in height and width—to the Museum on Saturday, February 25, from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. A public open house will be held for exhibiting artists on Thursday, April 13, 2017. Exhibition space is available first come, first served.
Students are encouraged to drop off artwork in person. If a student is unable to make the drop off date an art teacher may bring up to 10 works of art for submission. Please ensure each work has the appropriate paperwork, any artwork that exceeds the maximum of 10 or with missing documentation will not be accepted.
Visit delart.org for the registration packet.
