Description

300 Years of Baking in Pennsylvania

Curious about how your food gets from the field to your table?  Join us on Saturday, November 14th to watch wheat ground into flour and help with sifting out the bran to achieve the fine powder that we use every day.  After your tour of the Mill, you are free to take part in demonstrations of Pennsylvania baking from the 18th, 19th and 21st centuries, and taste treats baked with Anselma’s own flour!  Be sure to stock up on gifts for your favorite baker in our expanded holiday gift shop!

The Mill at Anselma (c. 1747) served its local agricultural community for three centuries and is considered the most complete example of a Colonial-era custom grist mill in the United States.  Now restored and recognized as a National Historic Landmark, the Mill at Anselma provides a powerful educational resource, allowing visitors to experience Chester County’s industrial and agricultural past through flour milling demonstrations, tours of the site and hands-on family activities.

Cost $5 Adults, $4 Seniors, $3 Youth (6-17). Under 6 Free!
