The primary goal of the Best of Delaware® Party is to raise money for the beneficiaries. Delaware Today is proud to be working with three nonprofit organizations this year that make a positive difference for the people living in the state of Delaware.

2013 Beneficiaries

The mission of Girl Scouts is to build girls of Courage, Confidence and Character who make the world a better place.

Our nationally researched and developed outcomes teach girls to discover themselves, connect healthily and cooperatively with others and take action to be a force of positive change in their communities. All of this is only possible with the help of community leaders, volunteers and fiscal partnerships.

Variety – The Children’s Charity has been serving children, between birth and age 21, with temporary and/or permanent disabilities resulting from injury, illness, or congenital conditions since 1935.  

Variety’s mission is to build independence and self-confidence in children and youth with physical and developmental disabilities by engaging them in recreational, social and educational enrichment activities, while connecting families to resources.

The Kent County Fund for the Arts is focused on enhancing resident's quality of life, educating and broadening perspectives, and realizing the economic impact generated through arts events.

Part of the mission of the Kent County Fund for the Arts is to award grants to public institutions and qualified nonprofit organizations in Kent County. Grants are awarded to schools, clubs, and civic/community organizations for programs that help to foster growth of arts organizations in Kent County, as well as those organizations that support the arts. To date, the fund has awarded over $30,000 in grants to area organizations.
