Twenty-two bands on two stages over three days—it could only be the Riverfront Blues Festival in Wilmington Aug. 3-5. This year’s event features hometown heroes like lower case blues band and Gary Allegretto, regional road dogs like The Nighthawks, and past radio stars like Maria Muldaur. Saturday night brings Kenny Neal Family Band, featuring swamp blues master Kenny Neal with members of his family, all respected blues musicians from Southern Louisiana who lead their own bands. Don’t miss the after-parties on Friday and Saturday or the between-band acts. It’s the rockin’est weekend of the year. (inwilmingtonde.com/
