Wilmington's Ladybug Music Festival Lands Into LOMA on July 18, 2013

PLUS: Lyle Lovett and His Acoustic Band, Delaware Shakespeare Festival, Midnight in Paris and more

Prepare yourself for the Ladybug Music Festival, the free block party in Wilmington’s LOMA district (Lower Market Street) with live music from 30 independent female musicians. Count ’em. From 5 p.m. till 10 p.m., 30 artists will play in seven businesses on the 200 block of Market Street. With an outdoor stage that will feature a performance by Philly-based AlyCat to kick off the festival and Pittsburgh-based Lovebettie to close out the night, the festival is expected to draw record attendance. In addition, see Ashley Leone, Brooke Dicaro, Canyon, Chelsea Rae, Christa Blue, Em McKeever, Gina Degnars, IVA, Jessica Graae, Joy Ike, Katie Barbato, Kira Alejandro, Lauren Kuhne, Maggie Gabbard, McKinley Short, Nadjah Nicole, Nalani & Sarina, Prima Donna, Sarah Fridrich, Sweet Soubrette, Suzie Brown and Victoria Vox, not to mention local performers IVA, Noelle Picara, Angela Sheik, Jessica Latshaw and No Stringz Attached. Shenanigans, Extreme Pizza, Film Brothers, Zaikka Indian Grill, the Kitchen, Babe Styling Studios, and LOMA Coffee will host musicians. Last year more than 700 people attended. This year, be one of them. Organizers expect about 1,000. For Wilmington, that’s monumental. For more, click theladybugfestival.com.
