Listen to the Music

What the people need is a way to make 'em smile.

The Doobie Brothers rock The Grand April 21.

Tickets are reasonable, ranging from $51-83. That's a pittance for the band that sold more than 30 million albums in its 40-year tenure. Grounded by actual musicianship (read: talent, not a bunch of junk produced on a Mac), the Doobie Brothers lay claim to myriad and melodic hits (read: songs with actual melodies), including “Listen to the Music,” “Long Train Runnin’,” “China Grove” and “Take Me In Your Arms (Rock Me).” The Doobies’ “Black Water”  was the No. 1 hit single of 1974.
Founding members Tom Johnston and Pat Simmons, as well as vets John McFee and Michael Hossack take the stage. The show should bring back memories of the good ol’ days. Some of us were lucky enough to listen to the music—while the band was making it.

The Doobies have an interesting story. Check the official website.
