Rags to Riches

Question: "Where should I go if I want to sell my good clothes?"

With recycling in the front of everyone’s mind, what better way to get your clothes out of your closet and get even get some "green" back, than to take them to a consignment shop.

My all time favorite is Rags to Riches , located in Centreville and owned by former networking guru Jodi McLaughlin. Her store is one of the best in the area, specializing in designer clothing, shoes, jewelry, handbags and many other accessories. It’s super organized and Jodi is picky, so if she takes your items, there is a good chance they will sell.

While you’re there, why not take a look around for something fun to take home. There’s nothing like finding a gorgeous vintage designer piece for a fraction of the original cost.

And the best part is, if you have something in your closet you don't wear anymore—bring it in! They will give you money on the spot for well-kept designer pieces of your own. (Just make sure you call first for an appointment)

I visited Rags to Riches   a few weeks ago and fell in love with so many things. I found a gorgeous Diane Von Furstenburg shirt dress, Pucci platform sandals and a Tunic by Cynthia Rowley. I even picked up a pair of adorable leopard rain boots for my teenage daughter. (She was thrilled!)

They also have a fantastic inventory of popular denim, with brands such as Paper, Denim & Cloth, Paige Premium Denim, and 7 for All Mankind.

This store was absolutely worth the visit!

Plato's closet in Dover, DE, in the Dover commons next to the mall. Great young adult clothes at great prices. They give great prices on gently used name brand clothing!
