Penn Cinema Hosts Halloween Movie and Beer Fest this Weekend
Don’t miss the three-day film fest at the Wilmington theatre that kicks off Thursday, Oct. 18.
Nothing can stir up Halloween enthusiasm and excitement quite like a few spooky movies.
Luckily, you can catch a whole host of them this week, courtesy of the first annual Movies on Tap: Monsters & Malts Movie Fest. Similar to the Movies on Tap event, which features a local brewery paired with a classic film all for a good cause, this event is three days and includes seven movies, seven breweries and seven charities.
Tickets are on sale for individual movies, and tickets for all seven are available with a Festival Pass (limited quantity available). 100 percent of ticket sales go to charity.
The viewing schedule is as follows:
“The Burbs,” presented by Argilla Brewing Company, benefiting West Side Grows.
“Halloween,” presented by Iron Hill Brewery, benefiting A. I. duPont Kids Runway for Research.
“E.T.,” presented by Twin Lakes Brewery, benefiting Reeds’ Refuge.
“Ghostbusters,” presented by Mispillion River, benefiting Toys for Tots.
“Flash Gordon,” presented by Midnight Oil, benefiting the Food Bank of Delaware (with special musical guest Hot Breakfast).
“Young Frankenstein,” presented by Bellefonte Brewing, benefiting Faithful Friends.
“Nightmare on Elm Street,” presented by Wilmington Brew Works, benefiting Williams Syndrome Association.
