Local Restaurants Make Top List

Two Delaware restaurants made the cut for its Philadelphia “Best Overall” list

Each month, OpenTable, the online reservation service, culls its diner reviews to discover new favorites. This time, two Delaware restaurants made the cut for its Philadelphia “Best Overall” list. In the “Top 10 Diners’ Choice Winners,” Vita Nova (pictured), the student-run restaurant at the University of Delaware in Newark, came in No. 5, ahead of Domaine Hudson in Wilmington, which earned a No. 9 spot. Volver, a Jose Garces restaurant in Center City Philadelphia, took No. 1 honors. Diners noted in their reviews that the food at Vita Nova “was delicious” and the “experience was wonderful.” (Read my review of Vita Nova in Delaware Today’s December issue.)

At Domaine Hudson, reviewers reported that the “food has been exceptional, only outdone by service and all the staff” and said it is “always an enjoyable evening.” To see a complete list of winners, visit http://www.opentable.com/best-philadelphia-pennsylvania-restaurants?topic=Best+Overall.
