Bahama Breeze in Newark selected Food Bank of Delaware to receive a $10,000 grant from the Darden Foundation, the charitable arm of the restaurant’s parent company, Darden Restaurants.

The donation will support the Food Bank of Delaware’s goals to alleviate hunger for the more than 114,000 food insecure Delawareans. For every dollar donated, the Food Bank can provide two meals to households in need.

“This $10,000 grant will do a lot of good in the community,” says Food Bank of Delaware president and CEO Patricia Beebe.

“At Bahama Breeze, we’re passionate about helping our local communities thrive,” says Michael Link, general manager of the Newark location. “Our team members are proud to help Food Bank of Delaware make a difference in the lives of those who need it most.”
