A Great Spot to Celebrate National Smoothie Day

Grab something refreshing from Wilmington’s Raw Essential Juice Bar.

Multiple health-centric eateries have been popping up throughout the state in the past year, making it increasingly easier for hungry Delawareans to grab something nutritious while on the go.

Raw Essential Juice Bar in Wilmington is another new spot that offers quick and nourishing options. Owner Daniel Mckelvey has been making smoothies, juices and acai bowls for years.

“We offer smoothies that contain no ice, no added sugar or syrups, and no water—just simply frozen fruit, greens and other superfoods with different types of liquid choices like organic almond milk, organic apple juice and coconut water,” he says.

The menu boasts nine smoothie flavors, all of which are served in a generous 20-ounce glass. Prices start at $7.50.

Customers can also grab a bottle of 100 percent organic cold-pressed juice, or a two-ounce wellness shot. Other tasty menu items include pitaya bowls, and avocado toast topped with a homemade carrot-ginger dressing.

National Smoothie Day is Thursday, June 21.
